Clan Roster and War Priority – 2021/08/01

Time for August CWL!

This updates our Roster data, Clashiness, and CWL Team Priority levels, so people know where we stand as we head into CWL!

Clashi-ness estimates the overall strength for each base. Clashi-ness blends Maximum Trophies, Total Hero Levels (BK+AQ+GW+RC), War Weight (battle order on the war map), and offensive consistency over our last 4 Clan Wars (# of attacks made).

War Priority shows who is on our main CWL Team, and who are Backup players. While everyone can be in regular wars, sadly only 30 can be in each CWL battle. War Priority has 5 levels:

1. Priority 1 players start off in CWL. Must attack reliably to stay here! If not you get an “X” (out) or “P” (penalty).
2. Priority 2 players are backups and join CWL as needed. Priority 2 is an honor reserved for dedicated but not-as-strong players (and 2nd accounts) who are active daily in chat and never miss a war attack.
3. Priority 3 players are still developing their bases, war skills and/or reliability (remembering to attack) and won’t be in CWL, but can be in Clan Wars.
4. V (Vacation): Players who are on a Clash Vacation with War Button set to red, or who told us they’d be busy for a while. To get back onto War Team, set button green and speak up in chat!
5. P (Penalty): Players who get a 0 or 1 in a war will sit out at least one war as a penalty. (To get back in, speak up in chat so we know you’re ready again!)
6. X (Missing): Players who don’t attack in a war are counted as Missing and will sit out further wars. (Let us know you’re alive and we’ll get you back into Clan Wars after CWL.)

For tough Master League 2 wars we need all players to attack for 3 stars (if you can) or else go “up for 2” on a higher-ranked base. War Priority is affected by good and bad events. We love war-winning 3-star attacks or 1-star defenses, massive donations, being helpful in chat… Bad events include forgetting to attack, not checking chat/mail, not following battle battle plans, bad attacks (0 or 1-star) or poorly chosen targets… Good events can balance bad. Too many bad events trigger a Penalty (“P” or “X” in the War Priority column) and take you off the War Team for a while until we hear from you. We all make mistakes and we want our team to learn from them, so penalties go away over time. (Even XJam-8 got a Penalty for a dumb 1-star attack. These rules apply to us all.)

How to boost your Clashiness and get a higher War Priority? First, advance your heroes, push up your max trophies, and strengthen your base so your Clashi-ness rises. Second, make all your war attacks when we’re in battle, and consistently score well against appropriate bases. Third, participate in chat so we know you’re ready for battle! To advance in CWL we need 2- or 3-stars on higher/stronger TH14 bases, and 3-stars often on lower/weaker TH14 and TH13 bases. We can’t afford too many mistakes, so we all practice to consistently do well on tough bases!
